Charenelle Jean Williams
Charenelle Jean Williams grew up in South Jamaica, Queens, New York, and is a creative, faith-based writer who has been writing since age twelve. She has earned a Master of Arts in Communication Arts from New York Institute of Technology. Charenelle Jean also attended York College of the City University of New York, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English Writing. Williams wrote the center page, Pandora Speaks article titled Single Parent on a Mission for Pandora’s Box, the York College Student Newspaper in the Spring of 2001; she has several poems published in the York College Literary Journal Voices II; and has written an article titled Students with Disabilities Day for Compass, the York College Student Services Newsletter. She has published two books, Phenomenal Women: The Remarkable Women of the Bible, and a novel, Full Circle. Williams is currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing at Full Sail University and has won the Director's Award for The Art of Visual Storytelling. She lives in New York City with her only child and namesake, Charenelle Maya.
